Antigua is an inland town in the centre of the island of Fuerteventura. It’s known for the working Antigua Windmill, which has a craft shop and cactus garden. Within the complex is the Museo del Queso Majorero, a museum with displays on cheese making and the island’s flora and fauna. At the heart of town is the whitewashed Nuestra Señora de Antigua Church. West, trails weave through the vast, bird-rich Betancuria Rural Park.
