Morro Jable is known for its sandy beaches, like the vast Playa del Matorral, home to the Morro Jable Lighthouse. You can also view a skeleton of a sperm whale which has been mounted as an exhibit. Morro Jable Wharf is home to the Turtle Nursery, which shelters loggerhead turtles before their release into the wild. North of town is Jandía Natural Park, with dunes, volcanic peaks and rich birdlife.
